Issues

Social Security

- Individuals receiving social security benefits are subject to taxation, with the current tax rate set at 68%, which raises concerns about the financial burden on retirees.

- The original intent of social security was to serve as a supplementary income for retirement; however, the existing tax structure undermines this purpose by placing retirement income within a taxing framework.

- A proposed legislative measure aims to eliminate taxes on social security and retirement income, advocating for a dedicated fund that Congress cannot access, thereby ensuring the sustainability of social security for future beneficiaries.

- Individuals aged 62 and older, as well as those receiving disability benefits, will not be subject to any taxation on their Social Security income. - Congress should implement a reduction of foreign aid by 50% annually over a five-year period, reallocating these funds to bolster the Social Security program. Any surplus funds should be deposited into the Social Security general fund. - Annual increases of at least 5% will be granted until individuals reach the age of 70, after which adjustments may be made based on the general fund's performance. Additionally, healthcare coverage will be extended to all individuals and their dependents under 18, with no exclusions for preexisting conditions.

Social Security is currently facing significant challenges, and projections indicate that it may be depleted by 2033. To address this issue, it is essential to reconsider funding allocations, including the potential reallocation of resources from entitlement programs and the cessation of financial support to foreign nations. For instance, the Department of Science's research on the effects of various types of beer on cats raises questions about the necessity of such expenditures. Furthermore, the government should eliminate wasteful spending, exemplified by exorbitant costs for items like $500 toilet seats and $10,000 hammers. A review of entitlement programs reveals numerous instances of questionable spending, totaling 713 identified cases(I stopped counting). It is imperative to question the rationale behind these expenditures, especially considering that Congress has significant financial obligations to the Social Security Insurance (SSI) program. The focus must shift towards safeguarding the funds that rightfully belong to SSI.

America should make leaning English a requirement for citizenship!

EV

- Individuals concerned about environmental preservation may consider purchasing an electric vehicle (EV), yet the financial implications can be significant, with costs ranging from $70,000 to $80,000, alongside the necessity of replacing a $20,000 battery every few years. - It is important to recognize that the generation of electricity for EVs can still contribute to air pollution, raising questions about the overall environmental impact of such vehicles. - While some may advocate for a transition to electric vehicles, it is essential to respect diverse preferences, including the continued use of gasoline and oil, which also have their own environmental considerations.

School

- Mandate that colleges and universities operate within a sanctioned budget framework. - This approach is likely to result in reduced tuition fees. - Institutions of higher education should prioritize education over profit, and the substantial government funding they receive raises questions about accountability and financial practices.

Immigration

- Individuals attempting to cross the border unlawfully, such as by bypassing official checkpoints, will not be recognized as legal entrants and will be denied entry. - Asylum applications must be submitted from the individual's country of origin; failure to do so will result in ineligibility for entry into the United States, with a cap of 100,000 individuals permitted annually, excluding families. - Asylum seekers are classified as immigrants rather than citizens, are prohibited from voting, must adhere to U.S. laws, and are ineligible for any form of identification or employment without a Social Security card, with severe penalties for those who employ them.

Healthcare

- All hospitals providing services are required to display each procurement on a federal website that lists all procedures along with their itemized prices. - Hospitals must adhere to the pricing established on the website and comply with the adjustments made by Congress. - Each procedure will include comprehensive pricing details, which will encompass the following elements: - Procedure name - Summary of the procedure - Itemized pricing details, including: - Item code description - Cost - Quantity - Tax - Patient cost - Hospital cost per item - A committee will be established by Congress. - This committee will create and manage a dedicated website for its operations. - The committee will evaluate all procedures and make necessary price corrections. - Congress members will utilize the same insurance providers and will be responsible for their own health insurance expenses. - Any modifications proposed will be subject to a vote in the House, requiring approval from a majority of members. - No member of Congress serving on the committee may have any external affiliations with hospitals, including investments or stock ownership. - There will be no financial contributions from hospitals to any committee member. - No U.S. citizen shall be denied insurance coverage for any reason, including pre-existing conditions; violators will incur a $10,000 penalty for each incident, with funds allocated for the maintenance of the website and committee-related expenses. - All insurance prices and types will be available on a national website. - Cold calls and unsolicited mailings are prohibited until a patient has purchased insurance. - Patient information will not be collected until after the insurance purchase. - Each insurance item will be detailed as follows: - Item name - Item code - Item summary - Item cost - A committee will be formed by Congress to establish a national fund for Medicare and Medicaid. - This committee will also create and maintain a separate website for its activities. - The committee will review all procedures and adjust prices as necessary. - Congress members will use the same insurance companies and will cover their own health insurance costs. - All proposed changes will be voted on in the House, requiring a majority approval of 50%.
