Meet David

- I entered this world on July 15, 1961, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to my parents, Vida Ruby Isley and Grover C. Smith, who were living in Wagoner at that time and were committed Democrats. - My formative years were spent in various towns, including Wagoner, Hulbert, Pryor, Tahlequah, and a period in Tulsa. - Despite facing difficulties during my childhood, such as my parents' divorce shortly after my birth and residing with my Aunt and Uncle, these experiences have contributed to my resilience and empathy towards others' challenges. - Presently, I am nurturing my two daughters and my son. - I identify as a conservative. - I have experienced life within the Democratic framework, where independent thought was often discouraged, and conformity was expected. - I have always prioritized independent thinking over blind allegiance to any party. - I believe that those who have not experienced certain hardships should refrain from dictating how others should live. - It is essential to reintroduce common sense into governmental practices and initiate significant changes. - Current leaders appear disconnected from the realities of everyday life, such as purchasing food, health insurance, or car insurance. It is crucial to have representatives who genuinely advocate for the interests of the people.
